COTTAGE HILL GARDEN
To prepare the Cottage Hill Garden for winter, GIANT employees volunteered with Keep York Beautiful to remove old compost and mulch and bring in new straw bale gardens for spring planting.

In celebration of Arbor Day 2022, team members of GIANT planted over 200 trees at the Horn Farm Center in York, PA for Agricultural Education in partnership with Keep York Beautiful.

Team members of The GIANT Company celebrated Earth Day 2022 by volunteering at the Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority in Bellefonte, PA.

SAPLING GIVEAWAY
On Earth Day 2022, GIANT stores distributed over 19,000 saplings to customers in stores across Pennsylvania.

HEART OF THE COMMUNITY GARDEN
To celebrate Earth Day 2022, GIANT team members planted trees and cleaned gardens at the Heart of the Community Garden in partnership with Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful.

PENN PARK
In partnership with Keep York County Beautiful, York City School District STEAM Academy, and York City Parks and Recreation, we organized a volunteer work day in Penn Park that included mulching, creation of a rain garden, and the planting of approximately 150 smaller native plants.

Kings Gap Environmental Center
To support the immediate and long term wellbeing of communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, our program made a donation to the Central PA Food Bank to enable their facilities to reduce their carbon footprint and provided 30,000 meals to local families.

In partnership with Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful and TriCounty Community Action, The GIANT team took part in a tree planting and community garden clean up event at the Heart of the Community Garden in Harrisburg, PA.

Earth Day Sapling Giveaway
The GIANT Company celebrated Earth Day 2021 by giving out tree saplings and Seventh Generation eco-friendly product samples to the first 100 customers at each store location.

Pennypack on the Delware
In celebration of Earth Day 2021, GIANT volunteers teamed up Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful to support park restoration efforts at Pennypack On The Delaware Park in Philadelphia, PA.

To celebrate Earth Day 2021, GIANT team members planted 10 native trees including the Pennsylvania state tree, Eastern Hemlock in the East Brandywine Community Park.

Shenandoah River State Park
To celebrate Arbor Day 2021, GIANT partnered with Keep Virginia Beautiful hosted a tree planting event to plant 20 small tree saplings in the Shenandoah River State Park.
